Explorer Handcycle

The Explorer handcycle offers unmatched opportunities for people with disabilities to enjoy mountain biking and hiking.

Designed for extreme off-road conditions, it allows access to previously unreachable places like mountains, trails, beaches, and bike parks. One of Sporton’s handbikes even reached the summit of Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak.

The Explorer boasts full independent suspension, hydraulic disc brakes on all three wheels, a Schlumpf Mountain-Drive transmission, and a wide range of gears from 16 to 28. Its shift system allows gear changes while stationary. A standout feature is its dual steering: a traditional handlebar for fast descents and a chest steering system for straight-line travel and small turns while pedalling. The Explorer is also available with an electric assist.
